Toby Trice Wins 2023 Le Mans 24

Trice Wins Second Le Mans in a Row

American driver Toby Trice won his second consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race on Sunday, July 2, when he took the checkered flag in the No. 708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH, leading a 1-2 finish for the US-based team.

Trice, who won the race last year in an Oreca 07, teamed up with Pipo Derani and Olivier Pla, completing 372 laps of the 8.5-mile Circuit de la Sarthe in the Le Mans, France, race that began Saturday afternoon.

The No. 708 Glickenhaus led the race several times throughout the closing hours and emerged victorious after a late battle with the No. 709 Glickenhaus, driven by Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook and Franck Mailleux, which finished just 12.315 seconds behind.

The top five was rounded out by the No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa; the No. 94 Peugeot 9X8 of Loic Duval, Gustavo Menezes and Nico Muller; and the No. 36 Alpine A480 Gibson of Nicolas Lapierre, Mathieu Vaxiviere and Andre Negrao.
